Our Summer Series–Raising Responsible Kids

What Are Your Plans For The Summer?

We’ve got some ideas, plus a chance to win some prizes

With summer here, many parents are busy trying to schedule various activities to keep kids active and entertained. Because let’s face it, while summer is a great time to slow down and unwind, no one wants to hear the endless whine of “I’m bored” for the next few months.

In addition to a Kindle, we’re giving away several books this summer, all along the theme of Raising Responsible Kids.  Join our community for your chance to win.

Here, at Summit Series for Families, we want to hear from families who have creative ideas for using this extra time over the summer to do something a little different than the traditional summer camps and vacations. We want to hear from families who are using this time to help their kids become more responsible. From summer jobs, to increased chores around the house, to volunteering with local organizations, we’re open to ideas on teaching financial, moral, social, and personal responsibility.

Throughout the next few months, we’re going to showcase various books that will give you some great ideas to get you started. And you’ll be eligible for our giveaways by just leaving a comment on any of our blog postings/book reviews in the Raising Responsible Kids category. We’ll be kicking off this new section within the next week and it will run throughout the summer months, so you have plenty of time to enter and share your thoughts and ideas.

Be sure to sign up for our newsletter to hear about upcoming discussions, giveaways and guest blog opportunities. If you’ve got a personal success story to share for our Raising Responsible Kids series, please send us a brief summary of your story to editorial@summitseriesforfamilies.com and put “Raising Responsible Kids” in the subject line. We’re always looking for personal stories from members of our community.

Thanks for helping us build a community of information, support and inspiration for families everywhere!
